Walled Lake United boys’ lacrosse earns MichLOA Sportsmanship Award

The Walled Lake United boys’ lacrosse program was recognized by the Michigan Lacrosse Officials Association (MichLOA) as a recipient of the 2025 Sportsmanship Award.

“While winning championships is our ultimate goal, playing the game the right way is something we stress to our players on a daily basis,” said head coach Jason Lewis. “Being recognized with a unanimous vote from the MichLOA is a testament to our guys representing our culture, and it is something I take extreme pride in.”

The MichLOA presents it Sportsmanship Award annually to programs that represent sportsmanship at the highest level and do not allow the desire to win displace the standards of fairness and character. The Walled Lake United boys’ lacrosse team was nominated by the officials that worked their games this season before receiving a unanimous voted from the state-wide association.
