Walled Lake Northern honored at Sutton Foster Awards
Walled Lake Northern was recognized this past weekend at the 2025 Sutton Foster Awards at the Wharton Center in East Lansing for Outstanding Achievement in Set Design.
The Knights were honored for their musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat, in which they created both a modern city and Las Vegas-themed sets for the show.
Along with the recognition, six students represented the district after being nominated for Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role: Diego Baca (Central), Blake Bardocz (Northern), Truman Columbus (Northern), Aliya Riste (Central), Alyssa Vindershain (Western), and Michaela Willingham (Western).
They had the opportunity to develop their theatre skills in workshops led by industry professionals for two weekends. At the conclusion of the workshops, they took the stage in the Sutton Foster Awards Showcase.
