Financial Aid Information

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Information

Step 1 - Create an account on FAFSA website and request a PIN for both the student and parent/guardian.

Step 2 - Visit FAFSA to fill out and submit your free application for federal student aid.

  • College Week Presentation provided by - FAFSA - Explains what FAFSA is, why it is needed, what documents are required, and all financial aid.
  • Financial Aid ToolKit - provided by the U.S. Department of Education, this was designed for those who advise students about financial aid. Offers a searchable library of handouts, videos, PowerPoint presentations, and shares the latest scoop from the FAFSA office when there's something new happening in the world of federal student aid.
  • Michigan Higher Education - provided by the State of Michigan, this Michigan agency that can provide information on state education programs, colleges, and universities, student aid assistance programs, grants, scholarships, continuing education programs, and career opportunities.

Financial Aid Webinars

Students and families interested in learning about financial aid basics are encouraged to register for a virtual financial aid presentation provided by the MI Student Aid team through the state of Michigan. 

Participants will be able to gather information on the following financial aid topics:

  • FAFSA application information
  • Federal financial aid programs
  • State financial aid programs
  • Scholarship searching resources

There are multiple dates and times to choose from and all sessions are free of charge and open to the public. Register for one session only, as space is limited.
